Townsend Fisheries is situated within the peaceful Shropshire countryside, conveniently located in the village of Alveley, off the A442 between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth.

The fishery itself is well established and has 6 mature, well stocked (clay bottomed) fishing pools. Ideal for specimen, pleasure, match or club fishing, our fishery is suitable for anglers of all standards.

There are 3 coarse fishing lakes with fish stocks that include Bream, F1’s, Carp, Roach, Perch, Barbel, and Rudd. Anglers who use pellets, maggots and sweetcorn often do well. 

Our 2 specimen pools have Common, Grass and Mirror Carp up to 30lb and Wels Catfish up to 77lb.

Boilies, pellets, sweetcorn, and luncheon meat all work best on these pools, with the Catfish partial to the odd worm.
